Mattel is a world leader in children’s toys, and most famously created the Barbie doll.
Mattel was looking to create a paper policy to respond to Greenpeace pressure about deforestation and fiber sourcing for Barbie products, and to reduce the risk of sourcing fiber from controversial sources.
Clean provided expertise in best practices for policy development and reviewed the draft policy for oversights and improvements.
The policy was publicly lauded by Greenpeace and Mattel established industry leadership on this issue.
Project POTICO is a unique partnership between a corporate sponsor, NewPage, and NGO, World Resources Institute (WRI), to create sustainable palm oil plantations on degraded lands in
Indonesia, preventing the clearing of virgin forests for palm oil production.
Project POTICO was looking to convey progress updates and publicize efforts of deforestation prevention to major stakeholders and the public.
Clean provided copywriting, design and programming to create promotional materials for the project, including a campaign microsite, presentations, and newsletters to convey progress along with other marketing services.
Clean’s work was essential in publicizing the effort to stakeholders and establishing POTICO as a great success.
Pelican is a multinational company that designs and manufactures multiple products in military, law enforcement, fire safety, and consumer entertainment.
Pelican was looking to identify sustainability frameworks to design their company development and strategy goals around as they grew in sales and recruiting.
Clean helped identify ESG and UN SDG goals as the most relevant frameworks for Pelican, then conducted stakeholder surveys and interviews to determine their priority areas in sustainability. We then messaged these goals on Pelican’s socials and website, and prepped for CSR reporting. After our engagement, Pelican's sustainability communications took flight!
